Health Care - What is the difference between Extended Health Care and the Enhanced Plan? - Benefits

Extended Health Care is really an extension of your provincial health care plan — SAIT’s health plan extends other services to you that aren’t covered by Alberta Health.

The Enhanced Plan is the whole package offered to you as part of your total compensation. When we refer to our Enhanced Plan, we are talking about your health plan, dental plan, spending account, life insurance, travel insurance and long-term disability insurance, for example. It’s the whole package and is different from the Standard package in many aspects.
