General Pay - SAFA PD Funds - Pay

For information on professional development, please refer to Section 12 of the SAFA Collective agreement (CA) which can be found on SAITNOW. Below are the definitions as per the CA.

12.03 Professional Development - Definitions (a) Short term - leave to attend courses, conferences, seminars and workshops that may assist academic staff members in meeting their professional responsibilities. (b) Long term - leave of more than three (3) months but not exceeding twelve (12) months where an academic staff member is granted full-time leave for either industry experience or some other form of development.
