Currently, it goes through email. There is no guarantee of privacy using plain e-mail. I would assure that you have saved the file in a secure folder that is backed up and have permanently deleted the e-mail with their data in it. You can encrypt email by using the web version of Outlook and selecting Encrypt Message right at the top of message. This will encrypt the conversation, providing a better level of security.
