Benefits Eligibility - General

Below is the list of eligibility for different types of employment:

Casual Contract- No benefits 14.2% top up.
Temp Salary - Full benefits (dental and health)
Salary - Full benefits (dental and health)
Adjuncts - No benefits

At this time SAIT does not provide a Benefits or a Pension contribution program for Casual employees. In the event that a casual employee becomes either a Temporary Salaried or Permanent employee then SAIT does provide Benefits and Pension offerings.

Health, Dental and Spending account claims run from July 1 through to June 30.

Our group benefits include:

Health Care Spending Account or Taxable Spending Account

Your individual benefits depend on a few factors:

whether you’re a SAFA member, AUPE member, or APT and management employee
when you started working at SAIT
whether you have opted into Enhanced benefit coverage (if formerly in the Standard Plan)
