If you:
- experienced a life event (marriage, birth of child)
- registered accidentally as a 'single' plan when hired
- did not enroll at all and were defaulted to 'single' and now need to add your family members to your coverage
Here is the process on how to update your Manulife account from 'Single' to 'Family Coverage'.
Please go to your Manulife account. Once logged in, click on Group Benefits -> My Account -> Manage My Plan -> What's Happening then choose Change in Spouse's Coverage. For the date, you can choose today. From there, you will be able to add your dependent children as well.

If this was not completed upon your hiring enrollment/ these changes or are not within 31 days of the life event (marriage, birth of child) you will be prompted to complete an 'Evidence of Insurability' form for the dependents. Essentially you need to 'apply' to add them to your coverage. If it is within 31 days of the life event, then no form needs to be completed.
