Accommodation - Non-Medical Accommodation Request Inquiry - Accommodation
If you are requiring alternative work arrangements, and would like to make an accommodation request, please visit SAITNOW. As part of the non-medical accommodation process, you will need to provide relevant and appropriate information to support your request. This can be done by completing the non-medical accommodation request form and contacting your leader.

Accommodation - Medical Note - Accommodation
You are not required to provide your leader with medical document that explains your diagnosis. If you require a medical accommodation and have a medical note, please contact your leader about the accommodation needs and submit the medical note to ability.management@sait.ca.

Accommodation - New Hire LTD - Accommodation
Thank you for your email. Part of your benefits at SAIT include mandatory Long Term Disability coverage. This provides up to 66.67% of your income, should you need to be off work for an extended period due to accident, injury, illness, etc. Details can be found on your Manulife account, and here, on SAITNOW. Please note that this is the only benefit you pay for because SAIT is already paying for your health and dental plan, your spending account, life insurance and accidental death insurance. The LTD plan has a 3 month waiting period so the premiums usually kick in on about your 5th or 6th pay cheque (and we don't make you pay for the LTD plan prior to being able to qualify for it). The premiums may go up or down each year when we negotiate our new benefits rates each July. Currently the rate is 2.459% of your gross salary.
